Ganpati Festival- Occasion to worship of the dearest God.

The day when we see on the calendar that the Ganesh Chaturthi festival is coming up in a few days, we feel a sense of excitement.

It is a 10-day celebration of festival; mean literally like a Khazana Khaas Palon Ka! The occasion for rejoice and gathering of all people that ends on the fourteenth lunar day or Anant Chaturdashi. It is the most popular festival celebrated with great pomp in cities and villages as well. Devotees from all over the world come here to witness the grandeur of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival and participate in the festivities.

Ganesh Chaturthi is like a Khaas Pal of our every year’s festivity for all of us. And every year we strive to make this festival more memorable. These moments begin with the installation of beautiful Ganesha idol that we have chosen for the festival, followed by additional diamond work to make the idol look more beautiful. Colourful decorations surrounded by the idol and chanting of mantras invoke the presence of Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is a non-sectarian Hindu deity and hence Ganesh Chaturthi festival is visited by people from different social statuses.

Of course where we have a festival there is always a feast. Daily offering of tasty delicious vegetarian food especially includes ‘Modak’ which is very much liked by God. It has been a tradition for years to offer five-course meals which is called Pancha Pakwanna to Lord Ganesha along with 21 Modakas.

‘Jagran’ is also an important part of this festival. For this sacred awakening as Jagran; special Aartis and Bhajans are performed throughout the night or even during the day for Ganesh Festival at home or society. Even people organize some games or any kind of engagement programs are the specialty of this festival to keep the surrounding devotional, energetic and enthusiastic.

Lord Ganesha is known as God of wisdom, and also a prior deity for worship. Therefore, when starting any auspicious work or doing any Vastu Puja, we first perform Ganesh Pujan with the wish and prayer to remove the obstacles in our path.
